Okami.

Okami for the PS2 is a great game. You play as a goddess  who is  reincarnated as a wolf who must fight an evil trying to destroy japan . The graphics are beautiful  the controls are great. You use a paint brush to fight by drawing lines threw enemies. You'll obtain new brush strokes techniques to beat enemies. The characters are great. They have their own language so it will be a lot of reading. Overall this game is one the greatest games on the ps2. You'll be playing for hours.

So I give okami 9 brush strokes out of 10.

Quick Review!!!

Resistance Fall of Man

Resistance Fall of Man is considered by many ps3 owners as the best first person shooter for the ps3 up to date.

Whats good about the game?
The game has a very solid campaign with various difficulties. For example, if you pass the game on easy, and thought if wasn't challenging enough, you can pass it again and get a much harder experience then before. The game also offers a cooperative mode, in which if you try to beat the game in hard mode, but don't think your up to the challenge by yourself, you can play with someone else and pass the game. Graphically it looks really good, and the cut scenes are great. It's wide variety of weapons makes this game a true FPS experience. The storyline is well crafted, and the aspects of the game drive you into it, making you want to play it nonstop. The best part of Resistance is its multiplayer mode. which offers a 4-players split screen mode and an online mode.

The Bad?

Well, even though Resistance is a kick ass game, it has its bad parts like all other games. First, its campaign is good, but is kind of short, it takes an approximate of 5 days to finish, and some parts of the campaign have long checkpoints, so if you die somewhere in the game, you have to start over on your last checkpoint. Resistance is just like every other FPS, its not unique. Two-player cooperative is not available online, which is something important in FPS.

Well, even though its storyline is good, its graphics look great, it lacks things that you might have expected but didn't get. So I give Resistance Fall of Man a 9.2/10 - Darkavatar

Madden 08

The Madden series has been ruling the football field for a few years now, and with competition coming back in the form of a competing football game from 2KSports, Madden needed to do something to refresh the interest of its fans. Madden 08 on the PS3 does just that.

Madden is chock full of extra features like more animations, gang tackling (which is a thing of beauty), and player weapons. Player weapons allow you to play the game on a more strategic level because each weapon can be canceled out by another, sort of like rock, paper, scissors but on the football field. For instance, your Brick wall defender can be countered by Elusive Backs and Power Backs.

Graphically, Madden 08 is exactly what you would expect from the PS3, superb. The new gang-tackling and added animations make playing Madden even more fun. The only downside here is that the PS3 version runs at 30 frames per second as opposed to Xbox 360’s 60 frames per second.

The controls were spot on except in a few spots. It seemed a little fidgety while navigating the menus. The in-game controls bothered me. This was my first time playing Madden on the PS3 so I don’t know if it was like this on any previous installments but I wasn’t used to the control scheme. Why would they switch the speed burst button to R2? It’s great that they added the option to pitch the ball while running but not at the expense of the stiff arm buttons. Now in order to stiff arm I have to press X. I guess gone were the days where once you pick up Madden, the controls were familiar and you never had to open the manual to play the game. You can customize the controls but if you play Superstar mode, you have no choice.

The gameplay was spot on (if you get used to the new controls.). My only gripe with the gameplay is the turnovers. You WILL turn the ball over more than you are comfortable with and it will infuriate you. Fumbles come a dime a dozen in this game so get used to it.

Although it still has its faults, Madden is a great upgrade to previous games, enough to keep you playing. If you’re a fan, this game should be purchased.

Pros:
New use of the hit stick
New animations and gang tackling are great
Weapons system is a welcome addition

Cons:
They switched up the controls on me!!!
30 fps vs. 60 fps, ‘nuff said
“Fumble, FUMBALAYA, FUMBLERUSKI!!!”

LocoRoco Cocoreccho

LocoRoco Cocoreccho! is the follow up to the quirky PSP game that took the country by storm (a little storm, but it rained nonetheless). I wouldn’t even categorize it as a complete follow up. The game is extremely short, there is only one level (it’s a fairly large one) and one song but hey, what would you expect for a $6.99 download?
The controls are different this time around. Instead of tilting the world around, you are in control of a butterfly. By pressing the O button, you call the locoroco within your range and they follow you around. It is your job to guide them to the goal. Sort of like the pied piper on a crazy acid trip. The sixaxis controller is used to tilt platforms, move items, and shake branches, etc. in order to find more and more locoroco. Once you reach the goal with the appropriate amount of locoroco, more of the stage is unlocked for you.
The entire game can be beaten in only a few hours, but the fun came in the visuals (especially all of the contraptions the move your locoroco along (trampolines, water spouts, wind gusts, etc.), the music (I had this song stuck in my head all day after playing), and trying to find all 200 locoroco. When it came to rating this game, I tried to consider that this game was only $6.99 and even for a $6.99 game I felt I might have overpaid juuuust a little.

Pros:
Visually great
The song is catchy (those who have played the original may not like that it’s the same song from the original)
If you have kids or younger siblings, they’ll love it

Cons:
Short game
Only 1 level
Only 1 song

WarHawk

Warhawk is the highly anticipated remake to the game of the same name. Does it live up to the hype?
Warhawk is available as a download from the PSN store for $39.99. This version does not include an instruction manual (not even an online one). It also lacks the free Jabra BT125 Bluetooth headset that comes packed into the retail version that goes for $59.99. On October 10th Warhawk will be available in stores for $39.99 without the headset, so there are plenty of options for the consumer. The drawback of downloading the game is that you can only play with your master account and not your sub-accounts (I was told this by a few different sources).
Warhawk was released as a multiplayer only game, which means there is no single player campaign. The lack of a single player campaign does not allow the player to brush up on his skills before he jumps into a game but once you get the hang of the game and its controls, you’ll be fragging noobs in no time. Warhawk allows for a maximum of 32 players online and the game modes are fun. There is no matchmaking however. All you do is choose a side (choosing a side does nothing to change the gameplay, there is no advantage over another for choosing a side) jump into a match and go from there. There are only 5 maps in this game but the size of them can vary depending on how many people the match is intended for.
The controls in this game handle very well and the aiming is pretty “noob friendly”, especially on foot. The vehicles are pretty easy to maneuver and the Warhawks are very fun to fly around. Sometimes I’ll find myself performing some cool aerial acrobatic but then some jerk has to ruin my fun by shooting a missile at me. Another thing I liked is that being on foot, in the air, or in a land vehicle never really gave you a huge advantage.
The graphics are really good and the sound was spot on. My only gripe with sound was the lack of background music during the game. This game may seem skimpy on some features but it is definitely one of the most addicting games I’ve played on the PS3. This game has its fair share of cons but the pros, especially the addictive nature of this game, outweigh them by a lot.

Pros:
Extremely addicting gameplay and modes
Graphics are good
Sound was good as well (I love blowing up vehicles just to hear them in this game)
Free Bluetooth headset (even without the headset, you can’t go wrong paying 40 bucks for a game as addicting as this)

Cons:
No single player campaign
No instruction manual (if downloaded)
No matchmaking or parties
Can only play on master account on your own PS3 (if downloaded)
